Explore the Nursery

We have a wonderful variety of dedicated play spaces and outdoor areas; each filled with imaginative resources to spark your child’s curiosity.

Our team is passionate about creating exciting, age-appropriate environments that evolve alongside your child. By thoughtfully enhancing our rooms to reflect the children’s changing interests, we ensure that every day offers fresh opportunities for discovery, growth and most importantly, fun!

Little Sparks

If your child joins the nursery as a baby, their journey begins with our ‘Little Sparks’. Our baby room is a nurturing, homely environment designed to feel like a home-from-home. We love to encourage curiosity in our youngest children, using open-ended resources, while our friendly team is always on hand to help them explore new textures and sounds. When it’s time to rest, there are plenty of cosy spaces for your little one to snuggle up or share a story, as well as a dedicated, tranquil sleep room for peaceful dreams.

Navigators

Once your child is confidently on the move, they will join the ‘Navigators’ in our older baby room. This space is thoughtfully designed to keep up with more active toddlers, offering them plenty of fresh air and “loose parts play” to spark their creativity and early problem solving. We focus on nurturing their growing independence, gently encouraging your little one as they begin to master new skills; like feeding themselves and washing their hands.

After a busy morning of discovery, the room transforms into a peaceful space for a post-lunch nap. We dim the lights and draw the blinds to create a calm atmosphere where the children can rest on cosy sleep mattresses.

For those not quite ready for a nap, a familiar member of our baby team will take them to join the ‘Inventors’  for a short while, ensuring they stay happy and engaged.

Inventors

Around you child’s second birthday, they will transition into our ‘Inventors’ room. This is a stage of wonderful imagination, where children are free to explore everything from construction and role play to musical instruments and our cosy story corner. We love sensory exploration, and your child will have daily opportunities to dive into messy play with sand, water and foam; choosing the activities that spark their curiosity the most.

The adventure continues in our garden, where ‘Inventors’ can get creative in the mud kitchen, explore our digging bays and ride-on tractors, or enjoy new physical challenges. Whether they are mark-making or building confidence through free-flow play, we ensure every day is filled with discovery and fun.

Pioneers

As your child enters their final year before starting school, they become a ‘Pioneer’ in our pre-school room. Here we offer a rich variety of resources and learning opportunities that encourage children to lead their own play, while our staff team thoughtfully create activities to extend their ideas.

To help your child feel confident and ready for the transition to Reception, the ‘Pioneers’ enjoy small-group sessions, including circle time and an introduction to early phonics. The adventure continues outdoors with Forest School and gardening, where the children learn to care for the environment first-hand; a wonderful way to foster independence and a love for learning before they take their next big step into school.

The Great Outdoors

We are passionate about the outdoors and believe that fresh air is essential for a happy day of play. Our nursery garden is full of enchanting woodland areas just waiting to be discovered alongside our secret sandpit, where children can spend hours building and creating.

Whether we are exploring the trees or enjoying the wide open space, we love to spend as much time as possible outside, making the most of every adventure the garden has to offer.

Our community

We love being part of our local community and enjoy regular trips to the library and other nearby landmarks. To help the children develop a broader understanding of the world around them, we also welcome local professionals to the nursery.

Whether it’s a visit from a friendly vet or a local firefighter, these visits offer wonderful opportunities for the children to learn about different roles and discover the vital part they play in our community.

The outside facilities are fantastic and the children go outside every day come rain or shine which we love. A wonderful nursery!
