Our ethos

At Heathcote House, we create a warm, home from home environment where every child feels cherished, supported and inspired to learn through play. Surrounded by nature and at the heart of our community, we nurture curious minds and encourage children to explore, discover and grow at their own pace. Through meaningful, hands-on experiences, we help each child build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our mission

To offer a caring and inspiring space where children can play, learn and connect with the world around them. We believe in learning through curiosity, creativity and exploration, guided by our strong sense of community and family partnership. At Heathcote House, we nurture independence, confidence and joy in every child as they begin their lifelong journey of discovery.

Our approach to learning

Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and is thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of every child. We support each child through individual learning plans based around their interests, ensuring their learning feels meaningful and engaging. As children progress through the nursery, their learning builds in a clear and supportive way, helping them develop strong foundations and a deeper understanding of key concepts. We encourage every child to thrive and support them in reaching their fullest potential.

The staff have taken it upon themselves to really get to know our daughter!
